On a chilly winter’s day, a stray dog came up to a man on the street. He observed the dog’s desire in its eyes rather than attempting to flee from the potentially harmful entity.
While many of us were terrified, this man understood that he needed to act in order to meet the needs of this wonderful dog. He had no idea she was a mother.
He then saw why she had turned to him for assistance as she guided him back to a frozen ditch. Her young children were trapped within a pipe and were in danger of freezing. He had to move quickly.
When he tried to call for them, the young children shivered and backed away. The rescuer used quick thinking to carefully place the mother in the back of his vehicle, where she would be warm, and he set up bait for the puppies.
But he had to be extra clever when it didn’t work. With the aid of a broom, he carefully removed the puppies from the frozen pipe. He had all three of the dogs at the end.
When the family was reunited, the four canines ware returned to the Dog Rescue Shelter to rehabilitate. In appreciation, the mother gave her son a heartfelt kiss.
