Bulgaria is a tiny and poor nation with thousands of stray cats and not enough good people to take them in.
Stoyan and Dessy from Bulgaria. They are not organization, not a shelter, they are just an average couple with a huge idea. Everything they supply for the stray animals is either from their own wallets or with the help of donations from our subscribers.
They have 4 dogs at home, all rescued from the streets – Sopolcho & Bagheera live with them while Alexa & Rijo live with Dessy’s mum, who has been feeding and caring of stray animals for the last 10 years.
Their aim is to create a shelter where they could take care of numerous stray animals with the help of Dessy’s mum.
The couple spotted an abandoned dog that followed them home. They took him in, providing the dog a temporary home to stay while they look for an adoptive family.
This beautiful story is a reminder that there are still decent people in the world who are ready to help animals in need. Due to them, this small dog will have an opportunity to find a loving permanent home.
