This adorable dog named Sam hasn’t had an easy life. Part of her entire life was spent with one family, but the time came when everything changed… The conditions in which she was living from night to day disappeared and the family had to make the decision to leave her in a shelter since they could take more care of her due to economic situations “we suppose”. So they handed it over to the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), who undoubtedly took care of the animal to find a new home and a new loving family for it.
All the members who dealt with Sam, had great hope that he would quickly find him a new home, as everyone who knows Sam knows that he is a 100% dog with his adorable face and personality.
However, he has been in the shelter for more than a year now and no one has asked for him, no one has wanted to take him to his house to give him warmth and that love that he misses so much. Since he arrived at this shelter, he has already seen more than 100 dogs that have gone with other families, 134 dogs to be exact… So it can be ruled out that “there are no people” who do not look for animals in shelters to adopt them.
“Poor Sam has waited 365 days for a home – in a whole year watching other dogs in cages around him leave. We’re not sure why Sam has been ignored for so long. He is very friendly and loves to play but he definitely needs time away from here to develop. He likes calm, peace and quiet to relax and be a dog like any other, ”said Emily Jefferson, assistant at RSCPA, according to Upsocl.
Still, many people think that a “grandfather” dog cannot be playful… Sam is 13 years old, but his spirit is that of a puppy! He loves to jump, run, play outside in the park, in the garden… Wherever you go, he will follow you, he is a dog that has lived a long time and is older, now what he wants most is caresses, love and enjoying his last years of life being happy and not locked in an enclosure seeing more dogs finding new families.
So all of his friends at the shelter are doing everything they can to find a new family for him. The volunteers in charge of Sam are uploading many images of him on social networks waiting for that person to notice him and take him to give him the love he deserves.
And the funniest thing of all is that among all the volunteers they made him a cake to celebrate that he had been with them for a year, a special photo session together with a travel bag, so they can see that he is ready to go to his new home. how desired you are waiting.
“We celebrate Sam’s anniversary with a dog cake and his bags packed, hoping he will find a home. We always upload photos of Sam but this month we have done it every day asking our followers for help. It’s so good and I hope someone notices it soon!” – Jefferson said to The Dodo.
