Еxhausted Dogs Fought For Тheir Lives For Нours. Look Who Сame Тo Нer Rescue!

The greatest flood in modern times occurred in the US state of Louisiana. 40,000 dwellings were flooded, 30,000 people had to be evacuated, 13 people perished.

But even in the midst of all this mayhem and damage, there were brave volunteers who helped save both people and animals, who, due to the raging elements, were trapped.

Volunteers Mike Anderson and Darrell Watson have already rescued 100 lives – both people and animals. They found two pit bulls that had lost hope of getting out of the water.

The dogs fell into a water trap and spent at least 16 hours in it. Mike and Darrell are not the only heroes – many locals are involved in the rescue attempts.

On August 15, Josh Petit uploaded this photo on Facebook and wrote:

“This morning, Baton Rouge was attacked by a flood and in two hours the water climbed by 2.5 meters. Just a nightmare. Literally out of the corner of my eye I observed a disturbance near the bushes. From afar, nothing else was was evident.

The eyes and nose of the dog barely poked out above the water! The animal was already fatigued – I had never seen such a pitiful sight. The dog was really terrified for his life … We saved her and she came up and rested her head on my knees, and moaned and sobbed like a child. She thanked me.”

The post instantly went viral on Facebook and the owners of the dog, who turned out to be Sadie, were soon found.

“Drove Sadie to her owner. It turns out that when he was evacuating and packing stuff in the truck, she got afraid and fled away. And now she is in seventh heaven with gladness that she returned home!”
